Luisa Eugeni

Luisa Eugeni (b. Assisi 1987) is a visual artist currently researching and teaching at the University of the Arts in Bremen and a PhD candidate in the Binational Program at the University of Leiden. She graduated in International Relations from the University of Perugia (2011). Eugeni then specialised in Expanded Ideas of Film Spaces (2018) and achieved the Meisterschüler (2019) at the University of the Arts in Bremen. At the University Iuav of Venice, she completed a master’s degree in MOVIES Moving Images Arts (2021-22). Luisa has participated in several art events: Philosophy and Music Festival “A due voci” (Como, 2018) and See Djerba International Media Festival (Houmt Souk-Djerba, 2019). She has also participated in art residencies such as “Art Co-op” (2017), Guangzhou (2017) and Formine at Formine Kunstverein (2020). During the 58th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale (2019), the artist curated the “Summer School Beyond Repair” for the German Pavilion. She was the artistic director of the Hybrid Museum of the Neighbourhood project at Jacobs University Bremen (2021-22) and the Co-founder (2019) and current coordinator of Sineumbra, an interdisciplinary artists group that Eugeni presented for the Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation, a Multimedia Opera for Paper Mills (2023). She has exhibited at the Kunsthalle, Weserburg Museum, GAK, and “Galerie für Gegenwartigekunst” in Bremen (2021).

Luisa will be spending a one-month artistic residency in ARD, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo.
