We welcomed Chilean artist Joaquin Luzoro. Joaquin spent a one-month artistic residency as part of the ARD South Residency Program.

Joaquin Luzoro’s work is conceptual in nature and often characterized by (socio) political references, in which multiple antipodal aspects merge and overlap. Aspects such as production processes and the generation of commodities are reflected in his work as well as the realm of aesthetics and the role of the observer, i.e. participant.

The practice of media Archeology using discarded light boxes, Neon pieces or Flip dot displays, merge to create a body of work that has been shown internationally for the past 20 years including Galeria Metropolitana (Santiago de Chile), ABC (Berlin), Changdong Studio (South Korea) and Festival de Performance de Cali (Colombia).
