The twelfth ARD Meeting will focus on continuing the discussion on the trend of identity and geography within the arts, Farida Youssef and Monica Hirano propose a debate on the concept of the Loss of Experience in the perception of art—from its conceptualization and production to its consumption. How does the unceasing necessity of finding and constructing meaning around experience make one disregard the connection with the process? Through a series of prompts, our aim will be to unpack various definitions of experience to relate them back to a field of art already crowded by the trend of identity and geography.
